Brief Introduction of Hunan University of Science and Engineering (HUSE) |

Located in the historic and cultural city of Yongzhou, Hunan Province, Hunan University of Science and Engineering (HUSE, since 1971) is a full-time comprehensive public undergraduate university, which still places emphasis on basic science. Our university also has undergraduate programs in literature, law, history, economics, management, education etc.
The campus covers an area of 692 800 square meters. It has a teaching and administrative staff of 821 in the university now. Among the 511 teachers, 37 are professors, 110 associate professors and 109 holders of master's degrees and doctoral degrees. HUSE has 15 institutes (departments), 10 research institutes, and it offers 24 full-time specialties of undergraduate courses. It has an enrollment of over 11,000 full-time students from 28 provinces and autonomous regions.
Endowed with natural charming landscapes and rich cultural traditions, HUSE is located in a picturesque area. From the year 2002 on, HUSE has undertaken more than 157 items of national and provincial scientific research projects, and won one special award in national outstanding teaching achievement, and 5 provincial awards. The university has established relations of academic exchange and cooperation with universities in the USA, Canada, UK, Japan and so on.
